The purpose of this training module is to explore psychological trauma and its impacts. This training module has the following learning objectives:

  • Understand what psychological trauma is and how it impacts kids in foster care
  • Understand the implications of the ACE study
  • Identify strategies for successfully working with traumatized children
  • Identify strategies to mitigate the impact of trauma on the caregiver
  • Identify local resources and next steps
